At Last Platypus

Had a lovely weekend seeing my daughter Cid and visiting with family.  It's great to have her home.

In line with my policy of not being such a photo perfectionist here are the photos of the platypus sculpture.















It's _especially_ important with these to double click for the larger size.

Sculpture is about 6" by 4.5" in sterling silver.  Beak is boulder opal.  Seaweed stones are diamonds and rubies.  Base is mahogany obsidian cut for the sculpture. Eyes are dark sapphires.  It took 2 years to work on and it was all pleasure except for the casting which was difficult but very successful.
