The Children's Book

I'm reading A.S. Byatt's The Children's Book. It's set in the late 19 and early 20th century's art and literary (mostly childrens books) world. It's filled with passionate descriptions of art nouveau designs and also the darker and far more intense mythic and super natural designs of the period.

And its filling my head with way too many ideas for right now, but I expect the best ones will stay with me. I did a feral fairy sculpture last year and this is making me want to do some very dark work.

Aesthetics aside, it's a fine dense book and I'm totally caught up.

It's going to be a very quiet Thanksgiving. That bug I had came back with teeth so I'm taking antibiotics and being restful.
