Pomegranate Poetry

I went to Girl Talk: A SF Cisgender and Trans Women Dialogue on Wednesday night.  It was superb, but that's not what I want to talk about here. E. Rose Sims used a pomegranate as a metaphor in a poem that  really knocked me out.

This morning I woke up thinking about pomegranates as dark metaphors, and now I'm thinking about how to make that in wax.  It's complicated, but if I can figure it out I think it will be amazing. The back of my head will be working on this for a while.

And finally I'm getting the type so I can start having words as part of my jewelry work.  As people know, I've been wanting to do this for much too long.  But I have a date to go to the type place next week and look at and test type.  I'm pretty excited.

Just got some early 60's Buddhist ceramic beads that I think will look beautiful with some large moonstone beads I got a couple of months ago.

My head is design full.

I love pomegranates as food, visual experience, and metaphors, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you do there.

The lines that are going through my head are "Imagine a dark room... Imagine a pomegranate."
